TEXT "Label" Shortcomings...we need something else

ok GS, we need an solution to the "text label" leader arrow shortcomings.
Getting too many employer complaints about...."Why can't (WE) get the leader close to the text?"
.....and please, that "centered" justification aint cutting' it either...makes the letters just too far apart and 'looks' akward.
What else can you suggest?

How about learning how to label without fixed text widths?

RTFM page 1806. Double click to place your label text.

Consider starting your text with a blank line or two.

You can align the text, the arrow break points, and the arrow tips if you need to do that.
The distance from the text box to the first leg of the arrow can be as close to the text box as you make it. The label I am showing here is the regular Text label.

It would be more convenient I think if the adjustments needed to do this could be done by adjusting the legs of the arrow rather than both the text box and the arrow.

The point I think rob2218 is making is valid.

The first leg of the arrow also needs to be adjustable to more than just the edge of the text box. It needs to be independently adjustable so you can extend that leg of the arrow to any location.

SHOW LINE AT EDGE OF TEXT BOX is another thing I would find useful.

...which is all the reason that I have never used the label tool for annotation (except for associative labeling) and still use the spline tool, with arrow head, for my leader, and the text tool for my text. Not really that tedious...

Same for me, when I am able to do things how I think it should be done.

However, we could use a little more flexibility in some of your ArchiCAD tools for the sake of having to replicate office standards that have not been developed with ArchiCAD conventions in mind.
