Renovation Filters also override the graphics.
Make sure no reno filters are active with the override option on.

<T>Greetings,

Working with AC 23. on a comnpletely NEW .pln
Standard Profile
Only two pens sets available ARCHICAD Layout Pens and ARCHICAD View Pens
No Graphis Over ride

Regardless of tool selection, they all display in the same color (in this case, a green color)
There are no problems displaying onter finished .pln's, they show up correctly.

Any ideas what to explore / fix / try ?</T>

That did it !
In the Renovation Filers Option I had the Filter setting for New Elements setting as Override instead of Show.

I don't know how this happened but as the saying goes "SH*** happens. <E>🙂</E>

Thanks for your help
