When I choose my selected files in Navigator and choose to send them to the spool folder they are now all being saved with the displayed files name.

So instead of using the drawing name like it did in AC9 ie: Lower Level Plan, Entry Level Plan, Upper Level Plan, I get Lower Level Plan, Lower Level Plan1, Lower Level Plan2, etc.

This is not a very helpful description. Are other people having this problem? Is this an acknowledged bug?

Brad:

This is a bug that was acknowledged during beta testing, and is supposed to be part of the first hot fix. It doesn't bother me when spooling for sending to my plotter or a plotting service, but isn't good when saving plt files for archiving purposes.
Thanks David, I look forward to the hot fix. Like you said, this is a pain for archiving, but not as big a problem as the 25% & 50% fills plotting black with a transparent background. Hopefully that will get fixed at the same time because I don't want to have to change all my existing composites.

I am not clear what problem you are having with them but you should know that the 25%, 50% & 75% fills are permanently changed from a vector fill to a bitmap halftone. If you were relying on the vector dot pattern to get the look you wanted you will need to change them to something else.

The reason for the change is that the fills never really worked as advertised. To achieve the effect implied by the name required careful setting of the pen weight and the dot (or line) spacing. This could then be defeated according to the scale, etc.

AFA the 25% fills, they become a problem when the background pen is set to transparent (0). They seem to work properly with any other background pen.
Matthew,
Check the following link for a better discussion.
<LINK_TEXT text="http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/vie ... =bug#63924">http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?p=63924&highlight=bug#63924</LINK_TEXT>

Basically the halftone fills now have a bug that if the background fill is set to transparent the fill prints solid black. Any other background color including desktop and it prints properly.

Other than that I agree that the handling of halftone fills has improved tremendously and may allow me to use more large scale pdf's.
