Semi-transparent text

I want to place a block of semi-transparent text on a master that will overlay views on the sheets, and remain legible over the view without fully obscuring the view. Is that possible?

If I understand you, then, yes, that is the purpose of having any content on a Master sheet. In the stacking order, it all is below any drawings - so if you use a medium to light gray for your text (e.g., a large bold "PRELIMINARY" stamp for preliminary drawings, for example) - then it will appear as if it is semitransparent as all lifework of all placed drawings will be on top of the text and visible as if seen 'through' it.

Thanks Karl,
The placed view obscures the text on the master (see screenshot). Context makes it clear enough, so it's not that important really, but what I was trying to do was have the text on the master be over the top of the views so it remained visible without fully obscuring the view underneath. I can't find a way to do that - I can't make a semi-transparent light grey pen, for example. Maybe it's possible to save the text as though it was a fill, which can be semi-transparent? I guess it would work if I made all the background fills on the model transparent, but that's way too much trouble for the purpose. Usually, when I can't find the answer by searching, it's because it can't be done. But I was hoping I was going to look stupid by having missed something obvious and easy 😉

This is one way to achieve that look:
1. To create the text, use the Text 3D object, set it as desired (getting the correct size will take some experimentation/math), view it in an Elevation, then copy.
2. Paste into the Master Layout, it will come in as Lines and Fills.
3. Select the Fills and change them to "% 50" with a grey pen for the Foreground.
4. In the Master Layout settings, select the Display Master Layout: Above Layout option.

You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.

Thanks David, appreciate the response.
I did see a post related to this issue which Barry responded to, giving what I now see was essentially the same answer (using 3D text), but answering a somewhat different question, and I didn't think it applied to the circumstance I was referring to. So I do feel at least a little bit stupid! Thanks for the explanation.
