Is there a way to have a live marker that calls out wall heights in plan? I have a roof plan that I want to call out what the parapet heights are that will update automatically when the wall height changes.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hello,
I have an object (actually a window) that when placed
in a wall displays the wall height and if the wall height
is changed the wall height marker displays the change.
The object was made in AC 8.1 and works in AC 10 and
I expect it to work in your version.
Put the object in any folder in an extracted library but it
will be listed in the window tool directory.
If you are interested, give me your e-mail address
and I will send it to you as an attachment.
So there isn't a tool that does it? Like the dimension tool? I thought I understood that the Level Dimension tool was supposed to be able to do this. However when I tried it, I would get the same height on different walls that I know are different heights.

To use the level dimension tool you have to use "Gravity" control.
"Gravity" works with the level dimension tool and on, slabs, roofs, and meshes but not on walls. That is why I made this library part.
doober922,

There is another option, which is built into ArchiCAD. Go to an Elevation and double-click the Dimension tool in the Toolbox. Set the Dimension Type to the "Elevation Dimensioning" setting. The dimension can be placed at the top corner of a wall and remains associative as the wall height changes.

I saw that and we are using that for our elevations. We need something for our roof plan.

doober922:

Use a Label: Label the Wall with the Dimension Label 17, and under Settings check the Show Elevation of Top option.
