<T>Hi,
I'm working with our visual favourites and I just switched old school text labels to the new really handy AC19 label...however when I drag a copy from the visual favorites the label doesn't show and I need to activate it. It should not be like this imo. I want to see I'm dragging and placing the "H"-object. Is it me or ArchiCAD? Is it maybe an unwanted feature in the mostly very nice label updates?

I can't use the built in text because it can't be exported into a label specific layer to dwg.

I think it is the consequence of the new way Labels work.
Prior to ARCHICAD 19 a Label was basically a parameter of the Element. When the "Label ...." checkbox was checked in the Element's Settings Dialog, the Label was placed with the Element. This could be saved as part of a Favorite.

In ARCHICAD 19 a Label is an independent element that can be associated to elements. This makes it possible to place multiple Labels for one element. But this also means the "Label ...." checkbox is gone so the fact whether the element has Labels is not saved with Favorites anymore.

I can imagine two possible ways to make you work easier:
1. Have the Visual Favorite Labeled and instead of activating the Visual Favorite, select it and its Label and copy-paste it.
2. After placing many element that need to be labeled, select all of them and use the Document\Document Extras\Label Selected Elements menu command.

Thanks! Yep...it's a consequence... For all objects that have a very similar plan view symbol (all 60x60 module kitchen cabinets) it's almost necessary to have a clue of which object it actually is. Copying is technically working and the closest work around I've also come up with but at the same time it's a slower process than before. I always like to trim the workflow so that it's faster and more precise but this is kind of stepping on the brake. Our general problem (don't know about other countries) is that we need to deliver traditional dwg (objects and labels separated on own layers) and BIM at the same time.
