never, ever, ever use that command! it's a gimmick! it provides absolutely no control over your model>view>layout process and ensures that you will always have to go and fix up the mess it made anyway. take it out of your menu schemes and try to ignore it in the context menu!
Ah, that restores my faith. For a while I thought I was misiing something. Thanks for the warning.
P.S. So does this mean that all views you have saved need to be placed on layouts individually? or is there an easier way. I'm sure there must be.

save view and place on a layout?

<R>Hi,
I was just wondering if there's any way to ensure that right-clicking and saving view to place on layout command places the view on a NEW layout instead of the last layout highlighted.
If I remember correctly in plotmaker 9 when we imported drawings there was an option of adding new layouts to the layout book, which i can't seem to find the equal of in AC10.
It's be great if anyone has any suggestions.
ta,
P.S. maybe I'm missing something obvious, but I blame it on the lack of training </R>

You can do it with Organiser, View map in left window, Layout Book in right, select multiple views in View Map, drag them to the appropriate layout (making sure you're landing on the layout, not between layouts or you create a new layout). You still have to rearrange them on the sheet.
