This is actually a drawing standard for us, to show removed windows as dashes in elevation.
So we can call it out as new wall.

This would be a helpful option.
I assume the easiest work-a-round is 2D lines?

Reno - Demo'd window opening showing in elevation

<T>After switching to AC 18 from 17 noticed an issue.

Demo'd windows show in elevation as a solid line, where the window was.

There is a rectangle where the window opening was. It appears as a solid line, the pen color is the wall's "Uncut Line Pen" color.

The renovation filter settings are set to New Construction. And demo'd objects are set to Hide, for this setting.

In our previous version, the demo'd window would be hidden.

Has anyone experienced this?

Another option to hiding the rectangle, would be to make it a dashed line. This is actually a drawing standard for us, to show removed windows as dashes in elevation. So we can call it out as new wall.</T>

2014archicadguy:

In the Renovation Filter Options, change the New Elements from Override to Show.

You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.
