topic Waterproof material and height dimension markers in Documentation

<T>Hello,

i would kindly ask you for some help. I have a problem when using waterproof material inside my composites. Inside archicad i see the "dashed line" as it should be, but when exporting the drawing in "hairline" to *.pdf in scale 1:20 its colored black all over. Any tips how to solve that problem?

Second problem i have is locking and rotating height dimension markers (putting foundations sections to foundations floor plan). Somehow i cannot figure it out how to lock the height so it would not change and rotate them regarding to correct position (they keep the original "horizontal" alignment).

I would kindly appreciate any information solving that problems. With kind regards, Gašper</T>

It would be helpful to see some screenshots of what you are describing, because I don't really understand the meaning of "colored black all over" or what you are trying to do with the dimension markers. It would also be helpful to add your ArchiCAD version to your signature.

I'm not sure what is going on with the PDF's. Maybe someone else has an idea.

But I think the problem with your elevation markers is that you are trying to mix two different types of dimension markers. The "Level Dimension Tool" is the correct one for showing individual element heights in a <S></S>floor plan<E></E>. However, you are using the "elevation method" of the regular dimension tool, which is intended to be used in elevations and sections, not plans. I don't think there is any way to rotate the marker display of these, unless you are just pasting a static image copied from an elevation view.

I would be guessing that the scale you are viewing in Archicad is different to the scale of the view you are publishing as a PDF.

I would also be guessing that your line type will be set to 'Scale independent' so the spacing will appear different at different scales.
If set to 'Scale with plan' it will appear at the same spacing regardless of the scale.
