You may not need to create a new texture, just use the Size inputs in the Texture section of the Surfaces dialog box to resize the texture. So if the current texture is set to 6", increase it to 1'-0".&lt;BR /&gt;

      <description>&lt;DIV class="actalk-migrated-content"&gt;I wanted to have a lap siding building surface material with 12" increment, ArchiCAD doesn't have that default material so I created a new "surface" where I chose the 12 vectorial hatching line. However, I can't get the horizontal lines to show up on my surface material, please see attached for the image.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks.&lt;/DIV&gt;</description>

If you want the siding to show when the 3D Window is set to OpenGL, you will need to add a Texture to the Surface settings. From your screen shot, take a look at the Roof Surface you are using as an example.&lt;BR /&gt;

      <description>The default building materials only give me wood siding options with 6" exposure. I want a custom one where I can make it 1ft instead. If i try to create a new building material, there is no option for me to change 6" to 1ft.&lt;BR /&gt;
