Not able to edit text or text lables

Hi!

All of a sudden I can´t edit text or text labels. I can activate the text or label but I can not move the marker or delete signs. I can write new signs do.
I guess I have unintentionally made a command to cause this but I do not now what! Any suggestions?

Maria:

1. Do you have the same Tool (Text or Label) selected in the Toolbox?
2. Is the Grid Snap on?

You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.

Yes I have the same tool selected and the grid snap is not on.

Is the "QUICK SELECTION" icon ON?

Yes the "Quick selection" Icon is on but it always is and it´s usually not a problem.
But fortunately everything works fine today! Something must have been restored when the computer was turned of during the night!

Having the same issue.
Editing text of label, when tool activated and jumped int the textbox or labelbox doesn't work.
Adding text is possible, delete of mofify anything doesn't do anyhing..

Is the problem inside AC, or between the keyboard and the software ?

So what you are saying is you can add new text or a label.
But you can't select an existing text or label?
Or you can select them but you can't edit the text (with the corresponding tool active)?

Is it happening in all files?
Have you tried re-starting Archicad (or maybe the entire machine if you do not do that often).

I mean, of course I can enter in the textbox of a text or a label, but I can't edit the content.
Deleting or replacing characters doesn't work, only adding new content.
Quite strange (and a little annoying )
It's happening in all files, in AC23., and restarting archicad or entire machine has no effect 😕
I'm not sure that Archicad itself is responsible of the problem, it looks more a keyboard configuration that produce the issue in Archicad §of course, keyboard is 100% functional in all other software)

This is a bit baffling.
So you can go into edit the text/label.
You can add new text but can't select and replace existing text?
Can you backspace to delete existing text?
Does CTRL+A select all of the text?
You are trying to edit plain text and not autotext entries?

I would love to see a video if you can.

Check you have the latest update for your Archicad version.
Does it happen in 24 as well?
