External drawings on layout

<T>Hello everyone,

I have some layouts with external drawings on them. Now everytime I re-open the file I have to update the external drawings manually before they become visible on my screen, also with publishing they remain invisible untill I manually update them. The settings for the external drawing are already on automatic update, but this does not seem to help.

Does anyone know a solution for this?

Thanks in advance,
Stijn</T>

We prefer to publish views to PMK from the source file and link those in the layouts instead. It gives you a bit more control over which linked views you want to update and it is a lot faster in terms of updating. You lose the 'live' connection though.

If the external drawings are not ArchiCAD drawings, you can tick a box to store them in your PLN.
