well PNG files didnt work, they dont save as vector format
it seems the only vector output files archicad supports are pdf and dwg
so i will give dwg a try

<T>Hi There

I am wanting to output Plans, Elevations and Sections to a vector file format which maintains transparency but also scale

would the best way simply be to 'File>Save as: .PNG' each layout?

It is for presentation purposes to be used in Photoshop or InDesign
but scale accuracy needs to be maintained

Comments appreciated.

Regards Jason</T>

so now I am left with pdf files, as dwg dont work in Photoshop or InDesign, heres hoping they support transparency and the pages they form dont leave a hard white background

One thing you can do is go to the Model View Options Dialog and modify the Model View Option used in the Views which are published as PDF for further work in PhotoShop/InDesign.
In the Model View Options Dialog go to the "Override Fill Display" panel and check the "Override Fill Background Color" checkbox, then select the "Transparent Background" radio button.
With this MVO setting none of your elements will have any fill backgrounds (they will all be transparent).
