That all depends on what exactly you are doing.&lt;BR /&gt;
Can you post a screen shot with the element you are trying to offset selected.&lt;BR /&gt;

It should be a case of activate the line tool, activate the offset tool then either click the points you want to offset or magic wand (space bar) on the line (edge) you want to offset.&lt;BR /&gt;
