I'm not sure if Windows can do the same as a Mac but....

save your first PDF named as you would like it then make the next PDF but when the "Save" dialogue window is open click on the name of the first PDF. It will then name your new file with the same name which you can then alter to what you want eg.

Project name Level +00

changes to

Project name Level +01

By changing the last digit

<T>Hi, I would be grateful if anyone can tell me how I can change the default name that Archicad gives a PDF that I save using the Marquee tool. At the moment it uses the project file name and the view ID, I would like that it uses the view name instead. Is this possible??
Each time I print a marquee to PDF it uses the same file name and I have to change it.

many thanks,

Paul</T>

Not that I know of. You just have to type in the name that you want it to be. Would be nice though and has been complained about before.

Cheers,

Thanks Gerald.

I know I should be setting up layouts but sometimes when you want to fire off a few quick marquee prints it would be nice if Archicad would just use the plan name.

I guess this one gets logged alongside AC being able to remember the folder destination to save to when saving projects.

Hi fuzzytnth3, in fact what I want is to change the default so that AC doesn't save file using project name + level/story, but instead project name + View plan name, or even Project name + level + plan name.

Sadly other than my workaround you have to set up Layouts and place your Views. Using Clones will speed up the process
