Hi Archicad users,

I have a problem about zone tags. In appearance section if I don't choose fixed width and prefer to give a lenght to the zone tag, in DWG format, the datas on one line (for ex. zone name part) is not devided into lines according to the lenght as in archicad. It is not about export settings. This problem starts after the first update in Archicad 17 and hope it's not exist in archicad 19.

Hi,

This is not a wish so I removed the poll and moved it to its appropriate forum.

Could you post two screenshots of the Zone Stamp, one in ArchiCAD, one in AutoCAD?

Hi,

As you see in the screenshots, there is no problem in "cle. r." tag on top because it's width is fixed. Thank you for your concern.
Hm, since I am not aware of any setting in the DWG Translation Dialog that would influence this, I must assume this is a bug.
So I will report this to Graphisoft.
Unfortunately I cannot offer a solution.

Hi,
This problem indeed is reproducible with different DWG Translators! It is now in our database (#195992) and planned to be fixed. Thanks for drawing our attention to it!

Hi, I have gotten an update with reference to this issue. AUTOCAD can only enter a linebreak in text at the beginning and/or end of a word, not in the middle. So this issue is not going to be fixed because of this inherent limitation. Thanks, kata

Just thought to check here again if there is any work around for zone stamp CAD export with text wrap in multiple lines.

As solution for now we are creating worksheet from entire floor plan, and then copy only zone stamp texts from worksheet. Next turn off zone stamp in floor plan from MVO and paste text copied from worksheet.

Now, CAD export of floor plan will have zone name text wrapped in multiple lines as seen in Archicad floor plan view.

With this method we are loosing live connection between zone name and text in floor plan. Please let me know if there is any better solution where we can maintain live connection from Zones, so if any zone name changes it reflects in texts in floor plan.
