If it is the text tool you are using then just press ENTER for a carriage return.
If it is text in an object you could try \n

<T>I want to be able to include a carriage return into auto-insert text so that I get two lines of text on my layout, independent of the width of the text field.

Example: I name a layout "Basement Plan First Floor Plan".

I don't want this text to run on for the full width of the text field (and maybe break for a line at some arbitrary character/word position). I want to see the same of First Floor Plan on a line below Basement Plan. (of course).

Not good output:

Basement Plan First Floor
Plan

Good Output:

Basement Plan
First Floor Plan

Is there an "invisible" control character that will accomplish this?

Thanks.</T>
