Sorry, I wasn't clear with my question. I didn't actually want just a black and white drawing. i just wanted the black to show up as black and not grey. I tried to send you an example and in doing so realised that if I zoom in on the drawing the undesired grey lines turn black. So the problem is resolved.

Thankyou for your time

<T>Hi, I have an issue with saving drawings to pdf. In archicad I have the linework set to Australian black pens, and the lines in archicad are black as expected. When I save to pdf I end up with a lot of the lines in random places turning grey. Any advice appreciated.

Cheers
Scott</T>

How do you save those PDFs?
Do you simply use the Print command in a Viewpoint?
Or do you use the Print command in a Layout?
Or do you publish as PDF?

There are multiple options:

1. For every Drawing placed on a Layout, you can select the Drawing, go to its Settings Dialog and choose "Black and White" in its "Colors" field on its "Properties" panel.

2. Alternately, you can define a Black and White Pen Set and switch to that in the Pen Set field in the same panel of the same Dialog.

3. You can select the PDF item in Publisher Sets click the "Document Options" button and select "Black and White" in the "Save PDF As" field.
