can't change door surface color

I have created a favorite interior door based on library object D1 24. But when I use the favorite I am unable to then change the door surfaces (to, say, "orange"). Why would this be? If I select another favorite (say, a bifold door) I can easily change the surfaces.

Not really understanding your question given the screenshot... are you saying that when you click OK for the settings in the screenshot, that the surfaces are not changed to orange?

looks like you're missing the Model Tab for the door settings

check your Work Environment settings. make sure it's turned on for your Door Settings & any other tool setting:

had this problem with someone else in our office & they had the same issue -- missing Model Tab in their Window Settings.

Thank you for that, I see now that my "Model" tab was missing. Begs the question: why would a missing model tab preclude the changing of surfaces when the model tab only controls the override of all surfaces?

Maybe the favourite was still setting the override of all surfaces, even though you could not see the Model tab in your settings.
