For some reason surfaces applied to cabinet objects are always rotated 90 degrees from how they appear on pretty much all other objects. This forces us to create duplicate materials for anything with directionality to it like a wood veneer, and requires a lot of manual surface override adjustments.

Is there any way around this? A global setting perhaps?

Thanks,

Hi Jeff,

Thank you very much for the report and I am very sorry for the issue!

I tested the default International cabinets in Archicad 23, and indeed, the rotation of the surface is not correct. Unfortunately, there won't be any further library updates for Archicad 23, but the good news is that, with the revamped cabinet objects in Archicad 25, the problem has been solved. I'm wondering if you could give it a try?

Thank you very much for your understanding! Looking forward to hearing from you!

Best regards,

Minh
