Lag while dimensioning

Hello there.

Has anyone experienced a significant lag while dimensioning objects ?

I get a 1 second lag after clicking each node and it's almost impossible to double-click to end the dimension string.

I am on windows 21H2, very good computer specs. This doesn't happen if I open the file on another computer.

I had this experience last week while trying to dimension storey levels in sections / elevations. Annoying.

I found the guilty object: it's a morph of a bicycle track. When I save it as an library part it's only 1372 polygons and still makes dimensions lag.

How can I optimize this ?

Sorry to revive this post, but how did you know that specific morph was causing the problem. We have a similar issue where the dimension tool is lagging.

I would also like to revive this thread—I have this experience as well. I'd also really like to know how to best optimize geometry (specifically from Rhino) brought into Archicad. I experience a lot of laggyness with dimensioning, and also the general processing of morphs that are made in Rhino. It seems like Archicad advertises very complex, and sometimes more organic architecture, but then when it comes down to it, the processing of these organic forms is not so great once in Archicad. Can someone point us in a good direction for learning about best practices and workflows for integrating geometry in Rhino?

Had the same problem as in the thread linked by David. In our case, the dimensioning tool became slow when the cursor was within the bounding box of a detailed railing with a lot of ballusters and "Automatically dimension walls and slabs" was turned on. Turning off that feature on the dimension tool or turning off the layer with the railing fixed the issue.

I have also had this issue with large or corrupted railings. As so as I had their layer the dimension tool works as expected.
