For the z axis roughly 1/2 the window is in the wall and half out.

Only one story.
How do you insert screen shot?

<T>I'm having problems inserting windows in a wall. In 3D the window is shown but there is no hole automatically created in the wall. I see the exterior trim of the window then brick. I cannot see the window at all in 2D.

The floor plan cut setting is at 4', within the window. The model view options are set to "show on plans".

I'm sure there is something simple I'm missing.</T>

Hi,
Your window is placed at a Z distance that is not the same level with the wall.
Have you check which story is the window is place?

Good luck

cheers

It may be you have two walls of the same dimensions
in the same place in your model, one with a window
and one without a window. In 3D the window trim
will show but the wrest of the window will be buried
in the second wall. To check this, make a section line
90° to the face of the wall through the window and
see if the section shows any walls, or delete one of
the walls (if there are two) and see if you now show
either one solid wall or one wall with a window in plan
(depending on which of the walls is deleted).
AC will only insert an opening in one of the walls
if two walls co-exist in the same place.
I don't really know what happened. I started another instance of AC and drew a wall and added windows with no problem. Then went back to the drawing in question and drew windows perfectly.

Thanks for the help.
