Hi friends,
May be it's easy but i couldn't find the solution.
How do you measure the part of an ellipse?
Is there any tool for dimensioning?

Hi Ogabson,

Select your ellipse, go to Window > Palettes > Element Information and click on the "Element's Size" button (2nd one from the left).

you may also be able to dimension a segment of an ellipse using arc length dimensions.

By null at 2010-08-02

I don't think you can dimension an ellipse.

I can't seem to be able to do that (AC12). Maybe AC14 makes the difference here?

I don't think you can dimension an ellipse.

This is an "arc" not part of an ellipse. So there isn't a tool for dimensioning ellipse part or whole ellipse.

Adrian this is impossible in AC 14 too.

Some segments of an ellipse could also be a segment of some circle.
If you draw that segment using the circle tool you can dimension it.
If you draw that same segment as part of an ellipse you can not dimension it.

Now it's ok

I think using ellipse tool makes the shape unmeasurable because it's allgoritm.
