I am not quite sure (because i am not currently on a computer with archi) but i belive you can change the units on work enviroment and their presentation. But you must navigate a while on that menu. By this is on a mac.

<T>howdy

couldn't seem to find a setting to allow me to do the following

we often need to dimension our drawings up in metric.... and by default the dimension string shows... for example... 1,234.. however... i would like it to default to 1234 (NO comma)

is this possible?

using v11 1086 USA full

thanks

Try the <Options - Project Preferences - Dimensions> menu; there you can set the unit, decimals, accuracy, etc.

I believe the comma is not actually coming from ArchiCAD, but from your Operating System. On a PC it is accessed via the Control Panel> Regional & Language Options> Customize...> Digit Grouping.

Not sure where it is on a Mac, off the top of my head...

Cheers,
You may try System Preferences/International.
