The dimension settings are defined by the View (which inherits what is current at the time it's created). Select the source view for the drawing, open its settings, and reset the dimension preferences there (I usually do this in the Navigator - View Editor).

<T>How do I get a dimension that i place in the project map to show exactly the same way in my layout?

I set my dimension to be US architectural feet & decimal inches in the project preferences, and i also set the model & layout units to be feet & decimal inches. no matter what i do, i always see feet & fractional inches in my layout.

please enlighten me. i want feet & decimal inches in layout.</T>
