I'm a newbie, please help me with archicad. I have an irregular-shaped area. I need to place dimensions with a regular given step. I.e. i want to place horizontal dimensions on a regular vertical "grid"... I hope I asking well. Please ask additional questions if something is not clear..&lt;BR /&gt;

      <description>You could place hotspots using the multiply command at your regular step locations and dimension to them.</description>

      <description>Or, you could use the structural grid tool, with the option to automatically insert dimensions...&lt;BR /&gt;

The Structural Grid has 'issues', but works for many situations ... see this thread:&lt;BR /&gt;

      <description>-place a hotspot on the lower point.&lt;BR /&gt;
-Select the hotspot&lt;BR /&gt;
-Edit -&amp;gt;Multiply-&amp;gt;Drag/spread/spacing(define the distance)/OK&lt;BR /&gt;
-click on the plan-&amp;gt;move vertically and press shift-&amp;gt;the hotspots are copied&lt;BR /&gt;
-use them as reference points for the dimension tool (click on them) as Gerald suggested.&lt;BR /&gt;
