Thank Alex Schamenek!
He came up with the idea and it is also formalized in a wish, I believe.

<T>Is it possible to over-ride the automatic entry of dimension details?

There are some occasions when I would like a dimension to be slightly different to that which is automatically generated .

I know that it's making a 'right-wrong' but it's been a useful feature of Cad software I've used in the past & I can't fathom out if it's possible in Archicad.</T>

Dangeorus practice - be sure to also change the color of the edited dimensions, so you know which ones they are after a while.

In the lower left of the dimension text, there is a hotspot. Right click on it, Dimension text settings ... and the rest is obvious.

Djordje -

What a GREAT yet simple tip for those rare times when it's appropriate to change the dimension to "custom" or "artistic liberty". Keeps the score accurate for you.............Thanks!

Also, in the latest build of ArchiCAD (2284), the Info Box will display this information. This is a new section that was added to the Info Box called "Dimension Text Tool".
