Yes - you can create your own. One way is to duplicate the default translator, by selecting the deault translator and hitting the Duplicate button. Then rename it and since this duplicate will not be locked, you'll be able to set whatever you want.

This is how it is designed to be used. You can then set up translators for different purposes. ie. one for civil engineers and one for structural engineers, for example.

<T>I created an AC8.1 file by merging an Autocad 2000 Land Development file (such is typically used by surveyor's in the U.S.) This file utilizes a type of scaling so that my drawing is 1/12th the size it should be (i.e. when I dimension a line that is supposed to be 48 feet long, it dimensions as 4 feet. Does anyone know how to revise my AC8.1 file so that it scales correctly and when I do my areas, they are correct?

Again, many thanks.
Whenever importing civil drawings set your drawing units to 1 foot instead of 1 inch in the translator. Then everything will come in at the right size, and you'll be good to go!
I tried that but the drawing unit dialogue box in the default translator is not available. Is there something I am missing or is there another translator I can use.
