Caps Lock select/ deselect

In older versions of ArchiCad one could cycle through items that are on top of each other by setting the caps lock on. I understand there is a new way to do this but I have not been able to figure it out. Sometimes holding the caps lock key down seems to work and sometimes not. What is the trick? Thanks in advance.

You have to use the arrow tool and then put it on the "1" key.
Many of us still wish for the old way.

AC9 is the same.
Try setting your own shortcut key

In AC9, you hold down the CTRL & SHIFT keys simultaneously. It's (big surprise) in the "New Features Guide", under Revised Selection Methods.

archiCAD 9 will scroll through overlapping element nodes and overlapping element fills. once you get used to using 'quick-select' and the various modifier keys that go with it, i believe that it is a vast improvement on any method of selection we have had previously.

you weren't brusque at all;
if you had caught my unedited posts, you might have noticed that I was typing the wrong combo of keys and figured there was yet another new WS setting I was missing.
