Hi, when I set the View Map on Site almost everything is okay except for the walls that have to be invisible:

Here are the options for Floor Plan Cut Plane Settings:

How can I make the unnecessary walls, columns and beams disappear?

If you don't want to see the walls, then the easiest way is to turn off the wall layer in the layer combination you are using for that site view.

on the ground floor I have this type of the plan. I only see the ground floor with upper walls and I can't see the roof slab

Not automatic shadows, no.

You must place a mesh or a slab under your building model to represent the ground for the shadows to be cast on.

Then view the entire model (roof and all) in the 3D window.

Change the 3D engine (3D Styles) to 'Basic' and the 3D projection of the 3D window to axonometric.

Now you can set the 3D projection settings to 'Top View' with the date and time you require.

If you have your location settings correct (Project Preferences > Location Settings > longitude & latitude) and you have shadows turned on it the 3D style settings, you should now see the shadows cast in the 3D window.

Place a 2D marquee over the shadow area and press copy.

A dialogue will appear so you can choose to copy just the shadows.

Now you can go to your floor plan and paste the shadows.

I hope that is what you are after.

In plan you can only see one storey at a time.

If the roofs are in a separate storey, then you must set the roof floor plan display to show on the storey you are viewing.

Or if the roofs are in the same storey as what you are showing on the site plan, just turn the layer on.

This is what I do, I don't have separates stories for roofs.

Same as the wall then - if you want to show them, turn the layer on.

If you want to hide them, turn the layer off.

The Site View Map puts you on the ground floor and the roof is on the 10th floor. If I enable the roof to be visible on the ground floor too it will only be one-time help but as soon as I move to the architectural plans the roof will be visible on ground floor and it will create the problem. Am I right?

Yes the roof will be visible on the ground floor if you set it to be that way.

That is why I like to rely on layers to turn certain elements on or off.

Another option is to create a view just of the 10th floor roof.

Then overlay that on top of the layout of the ground floor (make sure the drawing has a transparent background).

I was doing it that way but is there a way to create the master plan with only on drawing?

I guess it depends on what you are calling your 'roof'.

If it comprises of walls, slabs, roofs, air-conditioning, water tanks and whatever else you may have on a roof, then I would think you will need to overlay 2 views.

I don't ever deal with 10 storey buildings, so to me a roof is just something modelled with the roof tool - which you can control by floor plan display (all storeys) and layer combinations to turn it on/off when you need to see it or not.
