Yes. I assume that Revit is better than Archicad in that case.

After watching ArchiCAD 28 Preview, the Ceiling Plans&Detail Tool and other two tools still haven't made any improvements. Ceiling Plans should be a Reflected Ceiling Plan, but View Map Ceiling Plans is a top-down plan view similar to Floor Plans, only with different levels selected. The Detail Tool captures a part of the model, and what we need is the same tool as the Section Tool, Elevation Tool, and Interior Elevation Tool. It is a viewport directly associated with the model, not a screenshot tool. When drawing a floor plan, we need to include axis numbers when taking a detailed plan, but the ArchiCAD Detail Tool is terrible.

You can combine the section tool with the detail label.

create a section and place it on a different layer to the main sections and save as a view with the correct scale, layers, etc

link the detail tool to that view so that you can show the layout drawing correctly

its more difficult with a plan detail but you can save the view as part of a plan, again at the correct scale and layer combo
