HELP! Section views lost all 2d work!

I dont know what happened, but some of my section views have lost ALL of the 2d work (dims, fills, etc) drawn on top of the model. I re-did some of it, went to publish that page again, and it happened again to the same sections. The model has not changed since the last time I printed, and everything looks fine on that set. I have lost many hours of work trying to re-do everything.

This might be a stupid question, but did you check your layers? AFAIK to publish you have to define a view, for that you have to define a layer set if that layer set has the fill layer off then they will not be published.

Oh yeah, I checked the layers, layer sets, pen sets. I think what happened, when I tried to publish to DWG AC for some reson completely re-built all my section views from scratch, deleting them and making new ones. I have since changed the Vew settings from "Auto Update" to "Drawing", as I am hopefully finished with tweaking the Model. Problem is I have to re-do all the 2D work on 13 sections.

I'm sorry, I have absolutley no idea, or I would have posted earlier. Something similar happened to me about five or six years ago, I think it was in Archicad version 6.5 or 7. Probably some corrupt library object. Not since then, and I always have sections on auto-update.

But frequent backups and now and then an extra saved state copy by "Save As" doesn't hurt.

I used to see this all the time in Archicad 8.0.

The only times I've seen it since were accompanied by all kinds of "Cannot read Temp File" errors, and you knew something was up.

WOW - this is REALLY getting bad. I have re-drawn all of my 2D stuff, set all the Section/Elevation settings to "Drawing" and Saved. Also Saved-As a new name.

Tried to Publish a set of .DWG's - looked at the files - some have the correct drawings in the viewpoerts, others have NOTHING.

Go back to the view in the Navigator and there is NOTHING THERE! Even the model is GONE! Nothing left but the stupid upside-down grid lines.

Re-opened the saved file and looked at the views - everything is OK.

Tried to Save-As a .DWG from the Layout. Opened in Acad, and the same thing happens - go back to the view and its gone. have to "rebuild from model" and it comes back, but all 2D is missing.

This is a HUGE bug. I will send this file to my Re-Seller to see if they can re-create it.

I will try this on one of the PC's and see if it does the same thing.

UPDATE 1: Save-As from an individual Section View to a DWG works fine.
UPDATE 2: Confirmed - Does the same thing on the PC.

Note - this occurs to the SAME sections on a particular layout. IE: If there are 4 different sections views on a sheet, it will always happen to the same ones.

AC build 1010 USA Full on both PC & Intel Imac.

If you have an earlier backed up version of the Project File, you can go to its Section in question, and copy-paste those lost data to your current Projet File. This could save most of the data.
