What problems are you having? Perhaps putting that energy into an intelligent question would help....

If all you want is to print, may I suggest the "Print" command?

I find publisher reasonably easy to use. Granted, there are tabs you need to check every time for file format and saved location etc, that would make sense to be together, and sometimes the translators don't quite give you the results you expect (or maybe I don't expect the results I get?), but that's Archicad, and that's why we love it.

And it certainly is an improvement from before.
As with all Archicad functions, they require rigorous management and lack certain obvious presets.

Until ready to observe these contraints, revert to simple views, marquees and title block objects for simplified view management.

I use the simple method since I rarely publish more than three or four drawings/views at once.

Jeffe' -- you need to create a "master folder" within the Publishing Set and place your "pages" in it -- then you only have to set the properties of the master folder and all included "pages" will be in sync.

Indeed, it actually only needs one item in it before the format can be set. Hopefully this will be eliminated in the future, so that we can set the format of a completely empty folder.

The key is to use the Add Shortcut>>> button in the Organizer which effectively clones the folder into the Publisher set. That should eliminate any missing documents.

Cheers,
Archicad 9 was a pain in the ass to print correctly (saving into .plt) and until I finally got the hang of it. Then I upgraded to v10 only, to my horror, find out they ve changed the procedure. I haven't needed to use the Plot command yet, thank God, but I will be soon. Frankly, saving to PLT is not a good idea at all - because the PLT format is a historical thing, a remnant from the actual pen plotter era, now good 10 years behind us.

Maybe you should rethink the procedure and use something more up to date?

And why plotting when you have printing?

Nothing has changed in the actual procedure, "except" the layout integration, therefore no separate PlotMaker. You can still have a separate file with the layouts only.

Thankfully gunpossession is illegal...

Yes I had to get into plotting yesterday and I was pleased to see that the basics havent changed and I can get up to speed pretty quickly.

The reason I'm using .plt is because I send my drawings to a photocopy shop. If you know of a better way perhaps you can let me know. It's fine once you know what you need to be doing with a little experimenting.

The bad thing is that I can't even get a preview print from my A4 laser (Kyosera FS-1010). Even selecting the printer from inside AC10 (or v9 for the matter) crashes ArchiCad instantly and sends me to the desktop. Can't be bothered to look into it.

But if you can think of a better way let me know.

The obvious answer is PDF. However, that depends on whether your local shop wants to do it or not.
The Bug Report starts and you fill it up and send it, right? Plus, you email your tech support with the ID of the Bug Report?

Or you can't be bothered? <E>😉</E>

Check the printer drivers, and set another printer as default - let's say the Amyuni PDF. It could also be that the printer does not have enough memory.
