Is there a way to give dimension markers layer settings? I have a windows/doors blueprint where I need the dimension markers to be on, but going back to the project layer combination I want them to turn off. I can't figure it out.

Dimension markers which are part of the door and window objects can be hidden using model view options and not layers. If you want to control them by layers then you can use the associated label tool to add all sorts of information to doors and windows including the information that is available in the dimension marker which is part of the door and window tool.
