Selecting doors and windows

Hi!
Gotta question.
Normally selecting doors and windows in AC is not very comfotable. You have to find and click one of their nodes. For comparison: to select a wall it's enough to pick any point on it.
So I was thinking if there's any way to change that behaviour and make it possible to select doors/ windows with any point.

Try using the 'Quick Selection' option for the selection arrow tool.

The SPACEBAR key is the on/off keyboard shortcut.
Personally I leave it off in the tool settings and hold spacebar when ever I want to activate it to select a surface/fill (or window).

It works fine for me.
With the quick select magnet on I can click anywhere within the window/door opening and it will select.

Ahh, I notice in the GS windows there is an option to use fills in plan.
If this is turned of there is no fill for the quick select magnet to select.
Probably this is off for your windows.

My fills are ON but doors still don't get selected.

Do you see the magnet cursor when you hover over something with a fill?

Ok, magnet selection now works with windows (I had a disturbing slab) but still not with doors, even if I add them fills. I'm giving up. Appreciate your help so far!
