Still slogging away here....

My dimension text is not even close to being centered between the witness lines, often it is completely outside them, even if there is plenty of room. I can select the dimension text and drag it, but it won't stay dragged. I can't move or rotate or do anything with the text. The layer isn't locked. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Thanks SO much, Tane

Besides the ArchiCAD version and OS that we all need to know ...

What scale are you working in?

What is the size of the dim text?

Can you post a screen shot of what you are getting and of what it should be?

Sorry for not including the basics, which is AC9 on XPHome.

For grins, I opened a new file, and the dimensioning works great as expected. This file has been acting very weird since I merged it with a survey done in Autocad. I needed to redraft it anyway, so I am just going to use a fresh file. I have been seeing lots of unexplanable behavior that is making me too nervous. Sorry posting without investigating better.
try to use the thick marquee tool and coppy the entire project to another file. due to a glitch sometimes this will often help.
