You can not do any annotation in the 3D window unless you use a 3D dimension object or a 3D text object - but I wouldn't bother.&lt;BR /&gt;

As Eduardo mentioned save your 3D view as a 3D Document and annotate there.&lt;BR /&gt;
This is essentially a 2D document that allows all the annotation tools to be used but also remembers the 3D geometry so the dimension will be correct.&lt;BR /&gt;
It also remembers the exact viewing angle (camera location) but can be re-defined if you want.&lt;BR /&gt;

      <description>It is not possible to dimension angles in 3D Document Viewpoint. The Angle Dimension Tool is disabled in the 3D Document Viewpoint to indicate that.</description>
