Show more paper sizes to 'Microsoft print to PDF'

I'm exporting PDFs through printing (as in CTRL+P - Microsoft print to PDF - export) the reason being is that its the only way I can use my branding ( SPECIFIC FONTS NOT PRINTING).

The default has very few paper size options. I've added the pages I need to the printer itself - but it still only shows a few choices.

Anyone know how to show more or the rest of the options?

Hi @iausesthis

As far as I know, Microsoft print to PDF has its limitations for custom paper sizes. I recommend you to install any free pdf printer for Windows; there are many available out there (Ex: CutePDF, Bullzip PDF Printer...).

You can also check Bluebeam, it is not free but it is one of the best without a doubt.

Though a seperate question is why your font is not printing directly? Also, it is recommended that you use the inbuilt PDF publisher, whether this be via the Publisher or "Save As".

Thank you, that might be quickest. I'll add a new pdf printer and maybe check if that'll fix the issues when using publishing too.

I've got a similar problem, often when I Publish or 'Save as' of a collection of sheets the file size is less than manageable. As soon as I try to 'Optimize' the file in Acrobat I lose all fonts completely and end up with a useless file (ech letter turns into a square box).

I've been in contact with Adobe and one of the work arounds was to use Microsoft Print to PDF to possibly avoid the issue. Problem then being is that fills (10%, 50% etc) end up looking like crap.

Yeah, that is a long standing issue with the inbuilt publisher with how it deals with fills and layering... Rather than running an Optimise in Acrobat, have you tried just printing to PDF from Acrobat? I would assume that would flatten it.

Letters turning into square boxes after an optimise? That is odd... What happens if you use the "Reduce File Size" option?

Same thing....for some reason its throwing an error in when trying to process my fonts. My colleague right next to me does not have the issue and have the exact same fonts installed. Most times it's easier to bother him to convert the file rather than having to wait for the print to run through.

It's worked for years but quite recently started having this issue.

I was chatting for about an hour with an Adobe support representative that gave me 'the workaround' (ie. he had no clue how to fix the actual problem).

Problem is also that I don't have the pro version of Acrobat to take advantage of adjusting the settings in Pre-Flight, which may alleviate the issue.

OMG...I might have found the solution to my problem after weeks of searching!

For some reason the langue in Acrobat was set to English with Arabic Support, changed back to Choose at application startup, select English in pop-up window when restarting Acrobat.....and it works..!!!!!

Can't believe it's taking this long to figure that one out. Leaving this note here with a quick screenshot for anyone else that may run into the same problem.
