Hello,

I'm encountering an issue when exporting an Archicad file to DWG. In AutoCAD, many of the dimensions appear unrounded, even though they display correctly in Archicad. What could be the problem, thanks?

Operating system used: Windows

There could be several factors.

1. The wall's dimension itself is NOT a round number, but is displayed so because Archicad rounds the number to two decimal places.

This can happen when circular snap gets in the way, even if you're careful. (Sidenote: I want to disable those circular snaps! How?)

2. Your project is far off project origin (0,0) and this introduces errors. Why in 2025 we still have this problem? I have no idea.

3. Bug.

I would investigate in the following way: Draw a line with coordinate input, and then check whether in dwg it is itself the un-rounded length. Also, compare its length to the wall by zooming in "to the molecular level," if you know what I mean. Your "error" seems to be 0,0025 centimeters, so it can be seen when comparing to a "definitely correct" line in length.

Might be something else. Good luck.

In Archicad you appear to be using 2 decimal precision.

In Auto cad, you appear to have 4 decimal precision.

And as the wall is not exactly 760 units, you are seeing the true size in Autocad, as the precision is more accurate.

If you changed to 2 decimal places in Autocad, you would also see 760 units.

And if you can change to 4 decimal places in Archicad, you would see 759.9975
