In that case it would be 1 : 60 = 12 : 720.

Or 1 : 720 = 1/12 : 60 (one twelfth of a foot = 60 feet).

That is why I said they were totally different scales.

You should probably state which AC version you are using, as well as the name of the object itself. Whether it is a standalone object or is it a titleblock object.

Isn't it showing the actual scale of the drawing?

They are wanting the scale to take into account units, in this case, inches to feet. Imperial things... Not that I could see anyone ever measuring anything on a page in feet unless you are in the 40s and are working on a room sized drawing...

Imperial units.

Our Architecture company includes Landscape Architects and Civil Engineers and their plans typically need scales to show full property and lot locations. 1'=60' is a traditional engineering scale.

I would like the scale that shows in 1"=720" inches in the title block to display as 1'=60' feet. It seems possible since the graphical scale shows correct units in feet.

@jStrada wrote:

I would like the scale that shows in 1"=720" inches in the title block to display as 1'=60' feet. It seems possible since the graphical scale shows correct units in feet.

If the scale says 1 inch = 720 inches then it would also be 1 foot = 720 feet.
I think what you are trying to say is you want 1 inch = 60 feet (1" = 60') - which is not what you are typing.

I don't use imperial measurement, but it seems it can use a scale of 1 inch = x feet.

So 1" = 50' for example.

It seems that there is not a standard scale of 1" = 60'

You can create a custom scale of 1:720, but I see no way to create 1" = 60'

I am not sure where that list of standard scales comes from - I looked in registry, but couldn't see anything.

So, unless there is a way to edit this list, I think you are stuck with manually overwriting the text.

Sorry I had corrected it in the message that followed since it did not allow me to edit the previous comment. The custom scales for some reason do not show like the system below the second horizontal bar. Changing the working units and dim style does not affect anything. I'm afraid to have to jump into GDL scripting for this drawing's view title.
