2D Detail Object

I am trying to store all my Construction Details as 2D Objects so it can be found easily and placed on other projects. The problem is atributes vary from PLN to PLN and the object changes how it should look because Linetypes and Fills allways gets replace by some other atribute with the same Index. Any ideas of how can I make this work?

I really wanted this details would keep or create certain atributes so the drawing can be read properly.

are they 3d details from which you get 2d drawings? or are they 2d lines already?

Sounds like you have projects started from different templates or they went through some changes in attributes.
You could collect all the different sets of attribute indexes and map them in parameter script. When user places an object they would need to select from a dropdown a set that matches their file.
Doable if you don't have too many files with different mapping. I would also have the mapping in a macro object so you can add or adjust in one place.

Maybe save the details as a PDF?

Then you can place the detail with the drawing tool either in Archicad view points or on the layouts.

When placed in a view point, you can explode the PDF to edit it if need be.

Yes all of the projects have a different set of atributes. What I really whished to be a solution would be have embeded atributes within the object. That is a big difference saving the Drawing as Object and saving copying and pasting it ont he 2D View with the Fragment2D script. I am doing this in order to be able to improve and addapt details per project specific. I would love to know how to have the mapping in a macro object.

PDF would be a solution but, when exporting to different consultants as dwg the files don´t apper properly (sometimes missing link) and other times they want the DWG files as vector in a certain format, layer and pen specific.

Try publishing to PMK files
