Hello
Once we define the parallel view in the 3D window, we create a 3D document. This will be at the correct scale.
A 3D view will not have a scale.

Hi @Dave Brach

As @marcoariveross said 3d views don't have a proper scale, so I recommend using a plan view or a 3D document as well.

Perhaps grids are rotated because of the 3d document plan view is also rotated. The text on grid markers can always be read horizontally by default.

I think 3d document is your best option; unless "close enough" is your target... then you can resize the placed drawing on the layout directly

Thank you for the tips. The 3d document works, but the the grid lines still do not display correctly. And if I turn the mesh on, the grid lines seem to completely disappear (not a display order issue)

Do the grid elements in the first floor plan view appear correctly oriented?

Yes, the grid shows normally in all plan views. My understanding is that grid elements just do not display in 3d documents. I have tried to use regular plan views for roof plans over the years but have been dissatisfied, so the parallel projection/ 3d document seems like a my preferred way. I would, however like to see the grid lines. Alas, not possible.

The grid lines are 3D entities in these views. Given they disappear when you turn on the mesh, I would assume that they are located below your mesh. You can change their "Grid Position in 3D", or just drag them up in 3D if they are unlocked I believe. They would need to be above your building? I do not believe that there is a view to control this height per view so if you have any axonometric views or such that also show the grids, you may need to duplicate them, or I guess you could manually copy them into your 3D document that has the mesh turned on.

Do note though that being a 3D entity, they do not have a Linetype. So if you need that you will need to resort to overlaying a Floorplan that contains your grids.
