So, do I understand this correctly: You place a PDF on a worksheet and then Archicad freezes completely?

I have a pdf of a detail created in v18. I place my details on worksheets the place that worksheet on Layouts. When I place the worksheet Archicad locks. I have tried rebooting, dragging as a jpg, reprinted the pdf, and even a new detail. Is there some problem with the planfile?

Operating system used: Windows 11

Is the PDF flat? Vectorised? Layered?

replying to both comments.

First I am apparently not fully aware of the pdf options of flat, vectorised, or layered. Going have do some learning on that. And experiment tomorrow.

I place the pdf on a worksheet, then create a view of that worksheet and then place on a layout. When I select the view on the layout to edit is when the lockup happens.

Competely flat PDFs generally load the fastest, but may not be ideal of text and linework. Vector PDFs are slower, but keep text and linework true regardless of the scaling. Layer PDFs, what AC generates, are super slow, but are good if you need to be able to edit the contents.
