You can import PDF files into Archicad and display them alongside other modelled / drawn content, but you cannot convert from PDF to Archicad data. Not sure how you get around multi-sheet PDF documents, as to which one displays. Try a search of the forum (Search button at top of page).

<R>I am a graphic designer and have been asked to put together an online manual where architects can login and download drawings and open them in archicad. Is there a way for archicad files to be converted from a pdf? How would you get around this compatability issue? </R>

If you want other projectmembers to open your files, then you need to have your source cad-file on the website. If you want to have ability to look at the drawings on the web, then you could have pdf (but also a link to sourcefile) or use Graphisofts webpublishingtools, there I think you find a tool to look at .pln files in your webbrowser?
