topic exporting archicad drawings in Documentation

In order to get crisp line weights on my current projects, i print using the current view in Archicad- selecting archicad via the print menu and set the scale. I don't understand how to publish via plotmaker and would prefer to save plans and elevations in a form I can use in Illustrator or Photoshop. Is there a way to bypass plotmaker and save files from archicad that maintain the same quality as printing directly from archicad?
Currently using Archicad Student Version 8.1
Thanks for your help.
Brian McCall

You can always "print to file" via AC's publisher function and then open up the .pdf in Photoshop to re-save it to an Illustrator format

This would be the same procedure in Plotmaker after importing the view/pict but instead use the Illustrator format in the output list, after setting destination and export alternative, when Publishing your layout.
