<R>Integrated CADD Services is hosting two full day classes on Thursday and Friday, July 15 and 16 with a discount for both days. These will be held at the Boston Architectural Center on Newbury.

Advanced Modeling with ArchiCAD (The Object Making Everyone Should Know) will be taught by Karl Ottenstein on July 15.

<S></S>Prerequisite<E></E>: a working knowledge of ArchiCAD and <S></S>no<E></E>
experience with GDL. If you are looking for a specialist
course in programming GDL, this is not the class for you.

Join us and learn how to:
• build simple custom objects for structure or embellishment
that are impossible to realize with the standard
toolbox alone
• import manufacturer 2D and 3D DWG/DXF files as
library parts
• customize standard library parts - tailor the parameters
to your needs;rotation
• use tools that create objects for you
(e.g., Profiler, Trussmaker, ArchiForma)

Have you wanted to model something
in 3D that was impossible
with the basic ArchiCAD tools?
Have you needed custom objects
or custom 2D symbols? If so, this
one day seminar is for you. It covers
essential skills that every
ArchiCAD user should master.

Learn how to create your own objects and customize existing
library parts. In a step-by-step fashion, learn how to create
not just custom furniture, moldings, windows and doors
but also custom structural and decorative elements that are
shaped and rotated to meet your design requirements.
Increase the level of detail in your models, drawings and
renderings, while increasing your productivity. Some very
elementary GDL scripting will be covered, although the
majority of modeling will be done visually with standard
tools. A few third party visual object creation tools will also
be demonstrated if time permits.

Bring images of things you have
been wanting to model or, better,
submit them in advance upon registering.
As time permits, these examples
may be covered in class, or Karl
will give you guidance afterwards.

Cost is $325 for the day, including lunch, or $550 for both days (Dwight is teaching on day 2).
