I received a question regarding this webinar, whether it will be the same as another EcoDesigner webinar held previously.

I talked to the person who will be holding the webinar and he told me it will be different: there are new things coming in EcoDesigner and also there are so many aspects of it that can be discussed that it will be different.

He said they will show buildings where they show the calculation made in EcoDesigner at the time of design and compare it to real values coming from the now existing building.
Another type of energy usage change will be shown for building renovations: for example in a multi-apartment residential building you can put new insulation of the exterior, you can change the exterior doors and windows to new ones, you can install sun collectors on the rooftops, install geothermal heat pump and look at the difference these make in energy usage.

So I think it will be an interesting webinar. I will probably attend myself.

Here is the recorded EcoDesigner webinar.

<LINK_TEXT text="http://www.graphisoft.com/ftp/marketing ... ideo_frame">http://www.graphisoft.com/ftp/marketing/ed/ed-2011/ecodesigner-2011.video_frame</LINK_TEXT>

It is HTML 5-based so currently it does not play in Internet Explorer 8.
It works for me both in Firefox and Chrome.
I will post another link if there will be IE8-compatible version.
