Just be aware that version 19 is 10 years (versions) old and may not work on your operating system, especially if you are a MAC user.

It is no longer supported by Graphisoft and you will never be able to update it to a newer version.

I just thought I should point these facts out to you.

Barry your info is not correct;

You may still upgrade those older licenses in next 30 days and it will give you release 30, (because they will force you to pay SSA, on the top of upgrade price).

So, this may be the last chance to get THE LAST AVAILABLE permanent ArchiCad license (Although the pricing is not such a good deal), before Graphisoft goes all subscription (big mistake from a standpoint of old ArchiCad user as me).

Support from Graphisoft was semi-worthles for a last few years, so it doesn't matter.

And you can still find a pretty good computer to run those older releases, specially on MACs (Mac Pro, 12 cores, 192 GB RAM, 16 GB Video Card) for under 1000.-.

I am using ArchiCad since 4.12 in 1990 and have seen rapid decline of ArchiCad software lately (last 3 releases), so counting that subscription model will make it any better is not likely, but definitely more expensive.

I probably should not have said never, but I doubt very much if Graphisoft will do it.

The purchaser would have to upgrade 10+ years worth of fees.

Last time I checked an upgrade of 3 years cost nearly as much as buying a new license - which you can no longer do.

If Graphisoft still allow an update for 19 to 29, then it will be expensive for the user.

So potential users, check with Graphisoft first if you want to upgrade or be prepared to use the old software on an old machine and operating system.

The possibilty of upgrading before the cut off also relies on the purchaser having a current SSA. The option for those not on a SSA ended last year from memory.

I think the best would be for you to contact your local reseller and ask them about this. This way, a potential buyer can be sure whether or not they can upgrade Ac19 to the latest version.

I know for a fact that last year it was still possible to upgrade to the latest version and buy SSA/Forward. But a year has passed since then, so you should get the exact conditions from your reseller.

Archicad perpetual and Software Service Agreement (SSA)/ Forward (FWD) licenses will be available for purchase by new customers until December 31, 2024, as previously announced.

Existing customers with Archicad perpetual and SSA/FWD licenses can purchase additional perpetual licenses, and upgrade older Archicad versions until December 31, 2025.

That is the official stance. If you have enough licences that you were wanting to bulk upgrade they could change their mind, but that is up to them. More than likely, they would just tell you to subscribe to the new licencing system.
