We're exploring how people interact with certain features our product and we’d love to hear your take!
We’ve put together a short survey with some interactive tasks. It takes around 15-20 minutes, and will directly shape how we improve BIMx in the future.
Your feedback will help us better understand how our users think — and make sure we’re solving the right problems, in the right ways.
We’d love to invite you to take part in the survey.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us. Your voice truly makes a difference.

Hi Zsolt,
A question about the survey: is it recording the steps a user takes as they look through the menus to find the required function? Or just the final option? I think it’s important to know how many options someone had to look through to find what they needed.
Also an overall comment on BimX. When are the functions available on iOS going to be made available on desktop? This is my biggest frustration with the fragmentation of features across the platforms. The biggest one in want on desktop is teamwork integration, given we now pay for a BIMCloud saas and BimX pro.
Cheers,
Scott

Hi @scottjm & @Zsolt Sarkadi,
I was going to ask the same question as Scott. I've used BIMcloud for years but always self-hosted (basic). Now that I have Archicad Collaborate with BIMcloud SaaS I was exploring TW messaging and Issue exchange and ran into all sorts of roadblocks.
One is the feature disparity mentioned, which means you can only make the connection to select devices. Not being able to communicate with BIMx desktop is a killer since in my world a windows computer is by far the most common platform for job-site superintendents and various engineers.
The other issue I encountered is the need for a separate BIMcloud license + GSID just to activate BIMx Pro and with it the exchange functions. We are already paying handsome subscription fees for Collaborate. Having to cary an additional BIMcloud license just to utilize BIMx's full feature set is just plan hostile, especially when those team members will not otherwise be using Archicad or BIMcloud.

Hi Scott, Hi Geoff,
Thank you for being engaged with our research. Yes, Maze is recording the whole path in the tree test, so we can see an imprint of your thought process.
We are constantly working on to reach full feature parity. Supporting Issue Creation in all platforms is already on our product roadmap.
Our exchange functions (Teamwork Messaging and direct Archicad connection with Issues) works via BIMcloud, that's why a BIMcloud license is needed. Either an Archicad Collaborate subscription or a standalone BIMcloud license is sufficient to provide you Pro functions. You can read more detailed about BIMx licensing here.
If you already have an Archicad Collaborate, that makes everyone in your company eligible to use BIMx Pro functions. Just make sure every team member has their own GSID (it's free to register one), and add them to be a member of your company.

I'm sure we all appreciate that. Thanks.

I understand how the licensing currently works, and that is precisely what I am complaining about. It is crazy to require an additional license for each of the extended team members with whom we share BIMx models but who are not part of projects on Archicad or BIMcloud. Case in point is a structural engineer in a separate firm who does not directly access the Archicad model or BIMcloud in any way. Same thing for job-site superintendents, landscape architects, client reps. I could name a dozen more.
Currently we send these collaborators BIMx models for their review and feedback, and they love it! Now we want to enhance that workflow by enabling the exchange functions. This seems like a reasonable ask and exactly what these features are designed for. But as it stands we need to purchase licenses for each and every one of them, for full BIMcloud access they do not need, and we do not want to grant or manage.
This is hostile to us as users who have stepped up and accepted the substantial ongoing costs of subscription licenses. There needs to be a cost effective way to grant outside collaborators access to BIMx Pro alone.
Thanks for listening.

Totally agree with Geoff. And I’ve mentioned this better. There is a need for a BIMCloud Viewer/Commenter Licence or Permission. It’s crazy to think you need to pay AU$850 a year for a user to just send a few teamwork comments or view a file uploaded to BIMCloud.
I have created a wish here for this and to continue the discussion (as I know we’ve gone a bit off topic here)

Hi @scottjm,
Thanks for registering the wish. I voted and added some comments on possible options.
