Accessing license remotely

We have an office on the other side of the world "HQ in Dubai\UAE, office in Manila\Philippines " trying to share the license with them " not ready to purchase licenses at the moment" . Is it possible using VPN connection to share the WIBU key license? would it be problematic ? any thing to read about it would be appreciated .

on PC, AC13 Net license.

Thanks.

See if this (and the links there) helps:

A VPN would definitely make it easiest, since it eliminates the need to open a firewall and setup port forwarding to the machine "serving" the license.

Cheers,
Karl

It shouldn't be a problem.
We have a couple of users doing this from the other side of Austrailia.
So long as the VPN gives you access to the office network and in particular the machine with the network licenses on.
For best results add the IP address of the license server to the WIBU-ket setting on the work machine as per the Archicad-wiki article karl referenced.
There is nothing special that you need to do - the VPN works as if you are in the office.

Hello,

If there is occasionally either network or solo license used,
then it is useful to have following IPs added in this order;

127.0.0.1 (your local machine, read the connected key plug first, if any exists)
192.168.xxx.xxx (local license server, same address with VPN)
111.222.333.444 (global license server, without VPN)

First test without VPN seems fine ! will start some "real" action next week .

Thank you all .
